- The overall length of the cable
- The stroke of the cable (how far it travels in and out)
- The ends of the cable, are they threaded rods, if so the size of the threads on the ends of the rods (also if it's imperial or metric)
- The way the cable secures to the vehicle (clamp style or threaded bulkhead)
- Is it used for marine? (these are stainless steel construction cables)
